Why does my ST4 Sensor show that it is online, but the monitoring data cannot be updated normally?
The reason why your sensor shows as online but the monitoring data is not updating properly is likely due to a disconnection between the external temperature probe of your ST4 Sensor and the sensor body.
Here is a solution to resolve this issue:
You can try removing the external temperature probe from the sensor, wipe it with a damp cloth followed by a dry cloth, and then reinsert it securely. Place it near the hub, give a gentle poke to the sensor pin for 1 second, and observe if the monitoring data can be updated properly.
If the issue persists, you can follow these steps:
Remove both external temperature probes from the two sensors.
Wipe them with a damp cloth followed by a dry cloth, and then swap and insert them into the other sensor bodies.
Give a gentle poke to the sensor pin for 1 second and observe if both sensors can report data properly.
Additionally, the MOCREO Hub firmware version (≥ v1.9.5) has optimized the handling strategy for abnormal data updates from the sensors.
The hub will filter out abnormal data updates to prevent erroneous temperature readings.
The MOCREO Sensor App version (≥ v1.5.0) has added a sensor card to indicate the abnormal status of the temperature probe. You can use this information to quickly identify and troubleshoot the issue.
Furthermore, we would like to confirm some deployment scenarios related to your sensor:
Have you noticed any loose connections between the sensor body and the external temperature probe?
If so, please provide details about the actual deployment of the external temperature probe for the ST4 Sensor in your location. Have you placed the external probe in an environment that may cause the probe’s connection to become loose?
Your feedback is essential to us. Thank you for your understanding and support!
